Renting/buying a house in Bengaluru? Three things you definitely can’t miss!

One of the biggest metropolitan cities in India, Bengaluru is often referred to as the Silicon Valley Of India. This city is filled with opportunities for Millenials and every year a lot of young Indians relocate to Bengaluru for work. Now, whether you are a millennial relocating within India for a job or NRI returning to Bengaluru from a foreign land, the first thing you need to do is to rent/buy a house. And while doing so, here are a few things you simply can’t miss checking. Of course! If you want to have a pleasant stay in Bengaluru.

Phone network

Yes! You heard me right. We live in the twenty-first century and talk about 4G and 5G, but even now, one cannot assume that all the apartments in a city as big as Bengaluru will have a good phone signal. Trust me! No matter how good the society is, no matter which floor you are staying on, no matter which leading mobile service provider you use, you can face phone network issues.

Background noise

If you love peace and silence like me, then this is a big point. In a city like Bengaluru, finding an apartment that gives you peace, when you come back home from a long and tiring day at work is not very easy. And again, higher floors don’t necessarily mean lower background noise. It is very easy to miss this point and assume that if you stay on the 10th floor or higher then the noise will be eliminated. This is not the case. Again, no matter how good the society is or how high your apartment is, you must check for background noise. Especially check if there is a temple nearby, in that case, there is a high chance that you wake up at the sound of mantras and sleep listening to the same. Not to mention the traffic horns etc. which accompany!

Height of cabinets

The height of cabinets/washbasins/kitchen counters is another important aspect to look for and again something you might easily miss. In Bengaluru, quite a few apartments are designed considering an average height of 5 ft. If you are taller, then you might need to bend for all daily chores which might not be the best thing for your back. So make sure to see if at least the daily use cabinets, washbasins, etc. are good enough as per your height.

While you need to consider a lot of other things like locality, distance from the office, availability of facilities like healthcare, schools and more while buying/renting an apartment in Bengaluru, these are the three things which are easy to miss, and you might regret not checking them earlier.
